No. ProperLease does not sell your data or your tenants' data, does not share it with advertisers, and does not analyse it for purposes unrelated to running the service. There is no behavioural profiling and no ad targeting.
The business model is a subscription. You pay for the software, so you are not the product, and there is no second revenue stream that would depend on doing something else with your records.
What is measured, and what it contains
Product analytics are cookieless and carry no personal information. The events recorded are counts of things happening: a property created, a tenant created, a payment logged, rent set, an onboarding step finished, a paywall shown. Each carries a fixed label such as "wizard" or "page" and nothing else.
No tenant name, email, address, amount, or record ID is ever sent to an analytics service. Pageviews are only counted for signed-in sessions.
Error monitoring masks all text in the error reports it captures, and routine session recording is switched off entirely.
The third parties that do touch data
A small number of providers host, secure, bill, and email on ProperLease's behalf: the database and storage provider, the billing processor, the edge and key-management provider, the transactional email provider, and the error monitor. They are listed in the privacy policy with what each one does. None of them is an advertiser or a data broker.
What to do in ProperLease
- Read the privacy policy for the full list of sub-processors and what each one receives.
- Tell your tenants how their information is used. Under the terms you are the controller of that data.
- Write to hello@properlease.app with any question, or with a tenant's request to access, correct, or delete their information.
