Billing and plans

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are not offered for partial billing periods. Exceptional refunds for billing errors, double charges, or service issues are considered on request.

Refunds are not offered for partial billing periods. If you cancel halfway through a month or a year, you keep Premium until that period ends rather than getting money back for the unused part.

Exceptional refunds are considered case by case on written request: billing errors, double charges, and service issues attributable to ProperLease. Write to hello@properlease.app with the details.

The two exceptions worth knowing

  • Termination by ProperLease. If the account is suspended or terminated because the service is being discontinued, or for a reason that is not your breach of the terms, any prepaid amount covering periods after termination is refunded.
  • Apple purchases. If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple handles the billing and its own refund process applies. Request it through Apple rather than from ProperLease.

The practical route

Start on Free. It covers one property indefinitely with no card, and the first lease you generate and the first report you export are free. That is enough to know whether the app fits before any money changes hands, which is the honest alternative to a refund policy.

If you are unsure at renewal, switch to monthly rather than annual. A smaller commitment beats arguing about a refund later.

What to do in ProperLease

  1. Cancel from Account to stop the next renewal. Access runs to the end of the current period.
  2. For a billing error or double charge, email hello@properlease.app with the date and amount.
  3. For an App Store subscription, request the refund through Apple.
