Data and security

Can I export my data?

Yes. Reports exports your financial records as a CSV of every transaction or as a PDF summary. For records the CSV does not cover, request a copy by email.

Yes. Open Reports, set a date range, and download either a CSV of every transaction or a PDF financial summary. Your data is never locked in, and the privacy policy gives you the right to a portable copy at any time.

Be aware of the current scope: the CSV is a financial export. It covers payments, utilities, expenses, and maintenance, one row each, with date, type, property, tenant, category, amount, method, and note.

What the export does and does not include

In the CSV todayNot in the CSV today
Rent and other paymentsTenant contact details
Utility billsLease terms and deposits held
ExpensesUploaded documents and condition reports
Maintenance costsNotice and notification history

There is no single download-everything button yet. For anything outside the CSV, write to hello@properlease.app and ask for a copy of your data. The privacy policy commits to responding within 30 days.

The Free plan gets one export

Your first report download on the Free plan is free, and the PDF carries a Free plan watermark. After that, exports are a Premium feature. The counter burns on whichever artifact you download first, CSV or PDF.

What to do in ProperLease

  1. Open Reports.
  2. Set the date range. There are presets for this month, last month, year to date, and last year.
  3. Optionally filter to a single property.
  4. Download the CSV for transaction-level detail, or the PDF for a summary to hand to an accountant.
  5. For tenant, lease, or document records, email hello@properlease.app.
Exports leave the app's protection

A downloaded CSV or PDF containing tenant information is yours to secure. That responsibility is set out in the terms of service.
